Office of Academic Affairs

The Office of Academic Affairs performs a number of important administrative tasks,including classes,grades,admissions,and registration services.

1.Recruitment Services Section:

Curriculum Services Section

This section handles the advertisement of student recruiting, and the introduction of the schools and departments. This section also manages the entrance examinations, and selections.

Major Works

1. Curriculum

(1)    Curriculum planning and report to the Ministry of Education.

(2)    Curriculum information management and filing.

(3)    Course and summer course arrangement.

(4)    Offering information about course selection.

(5)    Course enrollment and inter-collegiate course selection.

2. Statistics

(1)    Teaching evaluation.

(2)    Reckoning class hours and teaching hours.

(3)    Students’ class absence.

3. Examinations

(1)    Scheduling the timetable of mid-term and finanl examinations.

(2)    Printing of mid-term and finanl examination paper.

4. Classroom management

5. Holding the meeting of Curricular Committee.

6. Scheduling the academic calendar.

7. Other affairs related to curriculums.

8. To plan and provide workshops and seminars to foster faculty professional development and to promote effective and innovative teaching and learning.

9. To popularize the application of instructional technology, e-teaching and learning for specialized courses, a website of resources in teaching and learning.

10. To document instruction of award-winning teachers for peer modeling.

11. To provide directions and ideas on how to enhance teaching and learning for new teachers.


2.Admissions Section:

This section regulates student's enrollment, identification card,leaves of absence, withdrawal, and transfer as well as documents such as the proof of student's status, the Chinese or English transcripts and diplomas, and later on.

3.Curriculum Services Section:

This section operates the course selection, the class scheduling,the examination services, and the classroom arrangement as well as the attendance records.

4.Teaching and Learning Section(Evening Division):

This section is responsible for the related academic affairs in Evening Division. Business scope includes student enrollment, registration and curriculum related business.
